Job Title: RN - Clinical Supervisor – Labor & Delivery

Location: Washington, DC 20037

Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts (3x12s)/Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: Approx. 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical supervision and coordination of L&D operations during scheduled shifts
• Monitor staffing levels, patient assignments, safety, and patient flow
• Deliver direct patient care using best practices in maternal and neonatal care
• Serve as a role model for nursing excellence and organizational values
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional standards
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
• Support staff engagement, training, and professional development
• Ensure accurate documentation and use of Cerner EMR

Requirements (Must-Have):

• Active RN license in the District of Columbia (or compact license applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
• Previous supervisor or leadership experience in a clinical setting
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring

• EMR Experience: Cerner required
