Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a KY or compact RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital telemetry unit (2 North) with mixed medical-surgical, telemetry, and observation patients
• Patient assignment ratio is typically 1:6 or 1:7, subject to census fluctuations
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Rotating 36/48 hour weekly schedule across a two-week pay period
• 13-week assignment duration
• Bi-weekly orientation provided
• Floating to other units is required during periods of low census
• Holiday coverage required per policy
• Responsible for managing care for med-surg, telemetry, and observation patients
• Orientation occurs every two weeks
• Holiday time off requests are subject to facility policy
• Local candidates are not accepted due to 100-mile radius rule
• Travel pairs are not permitted except in rare unit-specific circumstances

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required prior to start
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• At least 1 year of RN experience, preferably with med-surg and telemetry patients
• Must provide verification through Nursys within 30 days of start
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
