Travel RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse, Float Pool

• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3x12-hour shifts/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

• Setting: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, Float Pool (no home unit)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930 - $2070 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or participating NLC state (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, or related specialty (preferred)
• Ability to float to any Centura Health location within 60 miles of Colorado Springs
• Strong clinical skills, adaptability, and experience in various healthcare settings

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and medical record review
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
• Promote patient safety, advocacy, and education for patients and families
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that respects individual preferences and values
• Delegate appropriately to non-RN clinical support staff in accordance with policy and regulations
• Serve as a professional role model and mentor for new nurses and nursing students
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain accurate professional records and demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning
• Float to various units and facilities as needed, adapting to changing assignments and patient care needs
