- # Beds: 24 - Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4 days and 1:4-5 nights - Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS is preferred - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: pre/post cardiac procedures, femoral and radial procedures heart cath, cardioversions on the floor, cardiothoracic, post -thoracotomy (directly from PACU), CABGs 24 hrs out, stents, post PCIs, vascular procedures, NSTEMI. trachs home vented, trachs with bipap and cpap, chest tubes. They pull pacer wires in the ICU normally - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Required - experienced with pre/post heart patients - stents, pacemakers, ICDs, pre/post, pre/post CABG, pre/post vascular experience - Are RN's required to titrate drips: some they do titrate - some they do not . Dobuatmine and Dopamine are nontitrable but generally all the other ones are titratable - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, amio, dopamine, nitro, dobuatmine, integrelin
