Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) RN – Travel Assignment Location: Fredericksburg, VA | Start Date: November 4, 2025 | Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced SICU Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This role involves caring for high-acuity surgical patients and requires advanced critical care skills.

Position Overview

• Shift: 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Start Date: November 4, 2025 (ASAP preferred)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Unit Policy: Travel pairs not permitted
• Holiday RTO: Not approved
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Parking: No cost

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• CRRT experience required, plus at least one of the following:
  • IABP
  • Impella
  • Prismax
  • EVD drain management
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Diagnoses include:
  • Acute ventilator need
  • COVID+ with high oxygen demand
  • DKA
  • Severe sepsis
  • Unstable GI bleed
  • Trauma cases
  • Open heart and TAVR recovery
  • Post-code blue care
  • Multi-system organ failure

Certifications and Licensing

• Active VA or compact RN license
• ACLS and NIHSS required
• Preferred: BLS, CSC, TNCC
