• Setting: Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVICU/CICU)
• Job Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: October 27, 2025
• End Date: January 26, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts (3x12-hour, 7:00pm – 7:00am); option for 50/50 day/night rotation
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 3 of 6 weekends per contract
• Parking: Free for night shift; discounted rates and shuttle service for day shifts
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2470 - $2540

PICU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric critical care nursing experience (PICU, CVICU, or CICU)
• Proven experience caring for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease (CHD), including pre- and post-operative management
• Active, permanent Registered Nurse (RN) license – Massachusetts RN license preferred
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers considered if experienced in similar Cardiac ICUs)
• Ability to float to MSICU, MICU, NICU, ACCU as needed
• Two professional references from two of the last three healthcare employers (must be different facilities)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

PICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the Cardiac ICU
• Manage pre- and post-operative care for children with congenital heart disease
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other critical care units (MSICU, MICU, NICU, ACCU) as needed
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled
