PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Location: Springfield, VT 05156 (Vermont healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Med-Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/21/2025 – End: 3/22/2026)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday coverage as required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930 - $2070 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Charge nurse experience required
• PCU experience required; experience with drips required
• ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
• At least 3 months of previous travel RN experience required
• Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within RN scope of practice
• Experience in small critical access healthcare facilities preferred
• Must have own vehicle for transportation

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit (PCU) and adaptive acuity setting (including 3:1 PCU-level care as needed)
• Serve as charge nurse when required
• Administer and monitor IV drips and advanced therapies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other inpatient units as needed within your RN scope of practice
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
• Participate in orientation and comply with all facility policies and procedures
