PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Snellville, GA 30078 (Atlanta metro area)
• Assignment Length: 14 weeks (October 13, 2025 – January 19, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), 24-bed unit
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1610
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, throughout facility and to sister campus as needed
• Holiday Coverage: Required for holidays during assignment

PCU RN Qualifications

• Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be current at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
• Proficient in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred

PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as GI bleed, DKA, stroke, TIA, hypertension, NSTEMI, COPD, CHF, and more
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
• Document patient care using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Float to other nursing units or sister campus as needed
• Participate in self-scheduling and work every other weekend
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and complete required orientation modules
