Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse (Travel Nurse)
• Location: Hilo, HI 96720 – Hawaii nursing jobs
• Unit: Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) – 15 beds (12 telemetry, 3 step-down ICU)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
• Hours: 36 hours per week after orientation
• Shift: 12-hour shifts (day or night)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800
• Floating: Required to all acute care units (Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, ER)
• Dress Code: Scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Hawaii RN license required by start date; assistance available for out-of-state nurses)
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience
• Progressive Care Unit and telemetry nursing experience preferred
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips and performing fingerstick blood sugar checks

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Perform fingerstick blood glucose tests
• Utilize Meditech charting and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Operate BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
• Float to other acute care units as needed (Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, ER)
