Travel Nurse Job Details

• Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
• Location: Springfield, MA 01199 (Western Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Medical Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), 42 beds (21 medical & 21 intermediate care)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1990 - $2130

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts nursing license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or Intermediate Care nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association required)
• Proficient in tracheostomy care, ventilator management, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry
• Ability to float between medical-telemetry and intermediate care units as needed

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in the PACU and Intermediate Care Unit
• Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs, respiratory and cardiac function
• Administer medications, manage IVs, cardiac drips, and operate respiratory support equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Float between units as needed to support patient care and hospital operations
