PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact state (NH RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nurse or acute care RN experience
• Required certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in the OSC - Prep & Recovery unit
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, responding to changes in condition promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for safe and effective patient transitions
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and uphold patient safety standards
