Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU role in a same day program, requiring recent trauma experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in a 34-bed PACU unit within a hospital setting
Responsible for pre- and post-operative recovery care
Patient population includes gyn, ortho, plastics, vascular, cardiology, and general surgery cases
Patient ratio is 1:2 in phase one recovery
Varying day shifts available: 6a-4:30p, 7a-5:30p, or 8a-6:30p
No on-call and no weekend shifts required
Provide comprehensive care during pre- and post-operative recovery
Work with a team to support a broad range of surgical specialties
First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

Active NH or compact RN license required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
