PACU RN Job Details

• Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402
• Position: PACU Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment
• Healthcare Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 5x8 hour shifts per week; flexible start times (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: None
• Weekends: As needed
• Bed Size: 12
• EMR System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Blue (hospital provided)

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent PACU nursing experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Submission of work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, and required certifications
• One supervisory reference from the past 2 years
• Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in the PACU
• Monitor and titrate drips as needed for patient safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
• Demonstrate flexibility to work weekends as needed
