• Job Title: Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (Travel Contract)
• Location: Waterloo, Iowa (50703) – Iowa healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: Hospital Operating Room (OR)
• Contract Type: Travel Surgical Tech
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/26/2025, End: 1/25/2026)
• Shifts: Day shifts, typically starting at 8:00 AM (may flex to 9:00 or 10:00 AM)
• On-Call: Up to 1 day per week and every 4th-5th weekend
• EMR System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $2050

Surgical Technologist Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Active Iowa state license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience
• At least 1 completed travel healthcare contract
• Current skills checklist (within 1 year of submission)
• 1 supervisory reference required
• Proof of taxable address (driver's license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

Surgical Tech Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the OR team during surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and environments
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly
• Float within the same discipline across local hospital campuses as needed
• Document patient care and procedures accurately in EPIC EMR
• Participate in on-call rotations and holiday coverage as required
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare environment
