RN - Operating Room (OR)

Shift: 8 HR Day Shift

Site/Location: 900 23rd Street NW, Washington, DC, 20037

Hours per Week: 40 (720 total hours)

⏰ Schedule

• Position 1: 11 AM – 7 PM, Mon–Fri 

• Position 2: 7 AM – 5 PM, Mon–Fri 

🎓 Requirements

• ✅ PALS, BLS & ACLS – Required
• ✅ Current RN License (State/District) – Required
• ✅ OR Experience: Minimum 3 Years – Required
• ✅ Graduate of accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required
• ⭐ BSN – Highly Desired

 Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties during operative procedures and overseeing admissions to the operative suite.

Key duties include:

• Following aseptic techniques and standards of care.
• Collaborating with the surgical team to plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative care.
• Acting as a liaison for patients, families, and the surgical team.
• Preparing the OR for procedures.
• Assembling, verifying, and ensuring functionality of surgical equipment and supplies.

Weekly Breakdown: Weekly Gross: $2,748.00 Per Week
