Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring a NV RN license and at least two years of acute care OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital operating room setting
• Responsibilities include both scrub and circulating duties for operative procedures
• 10-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM with days to be determined upon arrival
• On-call required for nights and weekends, 7 to 10 shifts per month, including 12-hour weekend shifts
• Applicants must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• No local candidates are permitted (must live beyond 50 miles)
• Expected to adhere to aseptic techniques and operating room standards
• Prepare and assemble equipment and supplies necessary for surgical procedures
• Coordinate and communicate patient care plans with the surgical team and serve as a liaison for patients and their families
• Must ensure all equipment is functional and required implants or special supplies are available prior to procedures
• Holiday and weekend coverage required as scheduled

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of operating room RN acute care experience in a US hospital required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• CPI certification mandated by position
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references from managers or supervisors preferred, one from the most recent employer
• US Social Security Number required
