Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (CVOR)

Location:  462 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10016
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 days/week)
Hours per Week: 34.5
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the CVOR.
• Perform both scrub and circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures.
• Administer conscious sedation under established guidelines.
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy with proficiency.
• Collaborate with surgical and perioperative teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in:
  • Cardiovascular OR
  • Scrub and Circulating roles
  • IV insertion and phlebotomy
  • Conscious sedation administration

Preferred Skills:

• Strong background in Open Heart procedures
