Position Summary

The RN – OR performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with accepted standards defined by the state Board of Nursing. This role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, as well as health teaching, counseling, and coordination of therapy and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate health status through ongoing data collection
• Provide direct and indirect therapy and treatment
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as needed
• Monitor therapy and treatment plans
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health
• Float to other departments as needed (within scope of competency)
• May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in an OR setting

Education & Licensure

• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Required Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Montana
• Required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
• Preferred Certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS (as appropriate for unit/service)
