• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 6:30am – 7:00pm (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed hours)
• Weekend Rotation: Saturday rotation every 6 weeks
• Call Requirements: Minimum 40 hours per 6 weeks
• Unit: 31 Operating Rooms, 1:1 patient ratio
• Scrubs: Provided by facility
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1740 - $1860

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky – Kentucky RN jobs
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Strong clinical skills in high-acuity surgical patient care preferred
• Experience with neuro, orthopedic (robotics/arthroscopic), thoracic, vascular, transplant, and ENT/radical neck procedures is a plus
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and advanced surgical equipment (Mako, DaVinci, O-Arm, Rosa robots) beneficial
• Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a technologically advanced operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, including surgical instruments and equipment
• Provide patient advocacy and support throughout the perioperative experience
• Participate in call rotation and scheduled weekend shifts
• Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude, assisting across multiple surgical service lines as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR
