Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a NH or compact RN license and recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Position based in hospital Operating Room suites
• Covers both inpatient and outpatient surgical, diagnostic, and invasive procedures for all age groups from infant to geriatric
• Primary surgical services include mostly orthopedic and trauma cases, with additional cases such as ENT, cataract removal, and C-sections
• RN patient ratio is 1:1
• Day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Evening, holiday, and weekend call required
• Works as part of an OR team including RNs, RN first assists, CSTs, and assistive personnel
• Role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from facility
• Mandatory call coverage includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Orientation and training provided for cases you have not previously covered

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must have recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience within the past 2 years
• Must be willing to be trained for ENT, cataract, and C-section procedures
