Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare job)
• Assignment Length: 3 weeks (March 17, 2025 – April 7, 2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Surgical Stay Unit (Short Stay Unit, Med Surg)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2620 - $2810 per week
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience as an OR RN or in a Surgical Stay Unit/Med Surg setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Excellent communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Surgical Stay Unit during the EPIC Go Live transition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions
• Accurately document patient care and procedures using EPIC EMR
• Support patients through pre-operative and post-operative care in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and changes in condition
