Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Assignment
• Location: Hickory, NC 28601
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (13 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• End Date: February 9, 2026
• Shift: 06:45 AM – 5:15 PM, 4x10 hour shifts per week
• Call Requirements: 7 days per month (including some weekends)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ADN or BSN required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Experience with advanced surgical technology: robotics (DaVinci), Mako, Holmium Laser, and Hana table preferred
• Ability to take scheduled call (7 days/month, including weekends)
• Experience with adult and minimal pediatric (outpatient) populations
• Travel nurses must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists for optimal patient outcomes
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical equipment, including robotics and lasers
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EHR
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
• Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code (scrubs provided via hospital scrub machine)
