• Location: Geneva, NY (Finger Lakes region, 14456) – New York nursing jobs
• Assignment Duration: 17 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/28/2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR), Pre-Post/PACU
• Schedule: Full-time, 4x9 hour weekday shifts (start times: 6:30am–7:30am; end times: 3:30pm–4:30pm)
• On-Call: 1 weekday call per week and approximately 3 full weekends of call during contract
• Floating: Required between Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1840–$1980

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or RQI only), and NIHSS
• Ability to participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotation
• Strong clinical communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
• Willingness to float between hospital and surgery center as needed

OR RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate perioperative care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric surgical patients
• Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and emotional support throughout the surgical experience
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and healthy lifestyle changes
• Float between Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center as required
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
• Comply with infection prevention protocols and maintain a safe clinical environment
