Operating Room RN Job Details

• Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 52402 (Iowa healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Afternoons, 5x8 hour shifts/week (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Unit: Operating Room (14 beds)
• EMR: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,190–$2,350 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Strong circulating experience in diverse surgical cases
• Experience with DaVinci robotic surgical systems required
• EPIC EMR proficiency
• Scrub experience preferred
• No first-time travelers
• Submission of resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, and references required

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to surgical patients as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Circulate and assist in a wide range of surgical procedures, including those utilizing DaVinci, Mako, and Rosa technology
• Manage and coordinate patient care in the operating room using the nursing process
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols
• Participate in department meetings and ongoing professional development
