Job Description: Registered Nurse - Rotating Schedule
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a rotating position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large trauma level 1 facilities, with experience in various surgical specialties. This role requires flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and call shifts, and the ability to work during holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, cardiothoracic, and trauma.
- Ensure proper preoperative assessments are conducted and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain current knowledge of relevant procedures and technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting, specifically in the operating room.
- Previous travel nursing experience is required.
- Experience with EPIC EMR within the past 2 years is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to perform both circulating and scrubbing roles.
- Willingness to work 2 out of the 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
- All employment history must be thoroughly documented, including facility type, bed count, and EMR.
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions occur bi-weekly on Mondays.
- Reliable transportation is required; personal or rental vehicles recommended as public transport is not accessible in the area.
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
