Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Burlington, VT 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs)
Assignment Length: 16-32 weeks
Start Date: December 15, 2025
End Date: April 5, 2026
Shift: 10-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings)
Hours per Week: 40

Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, General Operating Room
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2610-$2800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) experience
Prior travel nursing experience in the United States required
Experience in a large Level 1 Trauma Center is mandatory
Proficiency with EPIC EMR within the past 2 years (required)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
Ability to scrub and circulate (skills checklists required)
Strong clinical skills in ortho, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma
Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available)
All-season or snow tires required November through April (Vermont weather compliance)

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma Center operating room
Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical specialties, including orthopedic, general, neurosurgery, and trauma cases
Adapt to rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call requirements as needed
Work 2 out of the 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
Participate in bi-weekly orientations and ongoing professional development
Comply with all facility policies and procedures, including comprehensive work history documentation
