Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Abilene, Texas 79601
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (10:30 AM – 9:00 PM), Monday to Thursday
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070 - $2220
• Call/Late Days: As needed
• Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (preferred)
• Experience with Allscripts or Altera electronic charting systems preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care in the Operating Room, focusing on neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics/trauma cases
• Demonstrate expertise in craniotomy and burr hole procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Participate in call and late shifts as needed
• Provide compassionate care to patients of all age groups
• Comply with all facility policies and healthcare compliance requirements
