Labor & Delivery / OB RN – Travel Contract

Location: Minnesota
Shift: 12H Day/Night Rotate (36 hrs/week)
Schedule: Every 3rd weekend + rotating holidays
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Scrubs: Navy Blue

Unit Details:

• Patient mix: postpartum, stable antepartum, GYN, pediatric patients, newborns, and overflow Med-Surg
• Average census: 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor patients, 4 in SCN
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:
  • 1:3 mom/baby couplets
  • 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg
  • 1:3–4 pediatrics
• Support staff: Charge RN, Resource RN, LPN Scrub Nurse (no patient assignment), ward clerk (days), CNA (Tue/Thu)
• Equipment: EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips vitals machines, bladder scanner, Medula breast pumps, Responder 5 call light system, Medfusion pumps

Requirements:

• 2+ years recent OB/L&D experience
• Active MN RN license (or willing to apply for temp & perm within 24 hours of offer)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP (required); PALS preferred
• Must be willing to float to Med-Surg/Tele as needed (travelers float first)
• EPIC experience preferred (other EMR experience acceptable)
• Agency must be SNSA-certified to staff in MN

Scheduling & Call:

• 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
• Every 3rd weekend & rotating holidays
• Flexibility required to help cover staff vacancies or onboarding needs
