PER DIEM/ ON DEMAND POSITION

There is no minimum weekly/monthly shift requirement.  They need nurses who are readily available to pick up shifts and have the flexibility to do so.  Overtime is available.

Travel stipends can be included in the pay package for those who live over 50 miles from the facility.  Stipends are based on the amount of shifts worked per week.  

Pay Breakdown: 

1 shift/ week = 12 hours

Hourly rate- $20

Weekly Stipend for 1 shift - $534

Total for 1 shift that week- $774

2 shifts / week = 24 hours

Hourly rate- $20

Weekly Stipends for 2 shifts- $1,068

Total for the 2 shifts that week- $1,548

3 shifts/ week = 36 hours

Hourly rate- $20

Weekly Stipends for 3 shifts- $1,869 (full stipends)

Total for the 3 shifts- $2,589

Description

The Texas Children’s North Austin NICU has a total of 12 intensive care rooms. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:1-3 depending upon patient acuity. The North Austin NICU routinely provides the highest level of medical/nursing care to neonates requiring the maximum level of support and technology available to infants today. Seeking Level IV designation
