Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit position in Georgia requiring NICU and surgical care experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Handles surgical neonatal cases and complex diagnoses such as CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, and pulmonary hypertension
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with every other weekend required
• Must be willing to float to other departments and cross campus as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Responsible for caring for neonates with a variety of complex medical and surgical needs
• Must be able to work either the day of Christmas or the day before/day after as scheduled
• Travelers must be willing to float within the hospital and to the sister NICU when needed

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• At least 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Level IV and surgical NICU experience required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
• Must pass nicotine testing
• Flu vaccine required with no exceptions
