Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent unit to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. Work with our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more! Being a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit in the region, we see many acute and complex patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nurses' skills, talents, and compassion for our patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various neurological conditions.
• Utilize telemetry experience while monitoring patients' vital signs.
• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of seizures using continuous video EEG technology.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatment approaches.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York License only)
• Telemetry experience is required
• Two years of nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification is highly preferred
