Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with Med/Surg Tele and PCU drip experience for an adaptive acuity unit in Vermont.

Responsibilities

• Work in an adaptive acuity unit at a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with occasional assignment to PCU care (3:1 ratio) as needed
• Patient population includes medical-surgical, telemetry, and PCU-level cases
• Travelers may be required to float to any inpatient unit within their scope of practice
• Drip experience is required
• Charge nurse responsibilities are part of the expected duties
• Own vehicle is required for this assignment
• Holiday requests for time off will not be considered; all scheduling requests must be made prior to submission
• Must be flexible to float across units as needed
• All required references, licenses, and certifications must be submitted for consideration
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment

Requirements

• Active Vermont or compact RN license required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Strong PCU experience and drip experience required
• Minimum 3 months of prior travel nursing experience required
• ICU and critical access facility experience are preferred
