Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Sioux City, IA 51104 – A vibrant Midwest city with a welcoming community, scenic riverfront, and rich cultural attractions
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 – January 19, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: 5A Medical – Med/Surg Telemetry
• EMR: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880-$2020

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel nursing contract
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Ability to float within the Med/Surg Telemetry discipline across local campuses as needed
• Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility (local travelers not accepted)
• Submission requirements: Updated nursing resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), RN license verification, required certifications, and at least 1 supervisory reference

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care in EPIC EMR
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
