The MS/Tele RN provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac diagnoses. The unit cares for stroke, TIA, and general cardiac patients (CHF, sepsis with hemodynamic instability, pre-procedural care, etc.). Nurses are expected to manage a 1:4 ratio, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide patient/family education.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
• Monitoring telemetry and managing dysrhythmias.
• Administering medications, blood products, and managing central/PICC/peripheral lines.
• Providing respiratory support (HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, trach management).
• Supporting patients pre/post cardiac procedures.
• Delegating tasks to appropriate staff and mentoring new hires/students.
• Floating within scope of practice to other units or campuses (Ashby/Herrick) with 1.5-hour notice (shuttle available).Ax
