Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Correctional nursing or correctional healthcare experience preferred
• Strong ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to inmate patients, including triage and ongoing clinical assessment
• Provide care for a broad spectrum of medical and surgical conditions, from minor ailments to complex cases
• Promote patient health and wellness in compliance with regulatory standards and correctional healthcare guidelines
• Accurately document patient care and maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
