Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 12-hour night shift position in the Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, effective communication, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, teaching facility environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a neurosurgical and surgical unit.
- Administer medications and monitor patient vitals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in regular patient assessments and developing care plans.
- Minimum commitment of working every other weekend.
Requirements:
- Prior travel nursing experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of unit experience in a large, teaching facility.
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start).
- Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Must have reliable transportation as public transportation is not accessible in the area.
Important Notes:
- IVS will offer from Monday to Sunday with the next available orientation date on 10/6.
- No block schedules available; flexibility is essential.
- All work history must be detailed completely to submit your application.
- Gaps in employment over 90 days must be explained.
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April.
