Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Springfield, MA 01199 (Western Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
• Setting: OB unit (Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Obstetrics RN, Postpartum Nurse)
• Unit Size: 13 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 during labor and delivery, 3:1 for couplet care
• Monthly Deliveries: Approximately 40
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Estimated Weekly Salary

• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $2310 - $2470 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current and active RN license (Massachusetts RN license preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN and postpartum couplet care nurse
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Perform antepartum triage and monitor maternal and fetal well-being
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital and nursing protocols
