Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Contract)
Location: Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital, Rochester, MI
Schedule: 36 hrs/week, 12-hr shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Must work Saturdays & Sundays | 13-week contract

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. The RN will care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery while collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

Deliver and coordinate patient-centered nursing care in the L&D unit.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for mothers and newborns.
Monitor patients during labor and administer medications as needed.
Educate and support patients and families on birth plans and postpartum care.
Accurately document patient care in Cerner and CPN systems.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes.

Requirements:

Active Michigan RN License
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Experience with Cerner and CPN systems preferred
Must be available to work weekends
