• Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – The Birthing Center
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: October 17, 2025
• End Date: December 12, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 8 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts/week (7:00am – 7:30pm), plus 24 hours of call time per 4-week period
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160–$2,310
• Weekend/Holiday: Rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates awaiting West Virginia licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and IV placement
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to float within the L&D unit as needed
• Must provide an unexpired driver’s license
• Applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse requirement)

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in a 13-bed Labor & Delivery unit, 8-bed triage, and 17-bed postpartum area
• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Utilize GE Corometrics Fetal Monitoring and EPIC charting systems for patient care documentation
• Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, Neonatologists, nurse aides, and OB techs as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-risk labor and antepartum situations
• Participate in unit orientation and comply with policies for weekends, holidays, and on-call requirements
• Maintain optimal patient ratios: 1:1 in active labor, 1:3 in triage, and 1:6 in postpartum/mom-baby care
