Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Shifts: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,990 – $2,130
• Charting System: EPIC
• Academic hospital experience preferred
• Facility births/month: 200-300
• First-time travel nurses with multi-facility Labor & Delivery experience are welcome!

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Jersey or compact state
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Multi-facility Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Academic hospital experience preferred
• Must be a traveler from outside a 50-mile radius

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care for laboring patients, including high-risk antepartum cases
• Triage obstetrical patients and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries
• Circulate for C-sections
• Utilize and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
• Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Administer anticoagulants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
