Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Details

• Location: Missoula, Montana 59802 (Western Montana healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Hospital-based emergent GYN coverage (no labor & delivery, no NICU)
• Start Date: October 26, 2025
• Assignment Type: Ongoing, per diem week-long locum tenens assignments
• Shift: 24-hour pager call, Sunday AM to Sunday AM (week-long blocks)
• Patient Encounters: 1-2 per shift (anticipated to be infrequent)
• Trauma Level: Level 2 hospital
• Minimum Commitment: At least 1 consecutive week per month
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $6300–$6750

Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Requirements

• Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (required for OB/GYN jobs)
• Active and unrestricted Montana medical license
• BLS certification (required)
• Proficiency in emergent GYN procedures and managing acute gynecologic patients
• Availability for at least one full week (Sunday to Sunday) per month
• Minimum 1 year of post-residency experience as an OB/GYN physician
• Willingness to complete hospital credentialing (estimated 60-90 days)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 24/7 emergent GYN call coverage for the hospital
• Respond to and manage emergent gynecologic cases (rare OB procedures may be required)
• Perform surgical gynecology procedures, including laparoscopic and major interventions (e.g., ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive lysis of adhesions)
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters
