Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Mississippi or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Fetal Monitoring certification
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the healthcare facility
• All required certifications must be submitted with your application

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Monitor and assess fetal and maternal vital signs, responding promptly to any changes
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and assist with labor and delivery procedures as needed
• Educate patients and families on the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn health
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
