Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Mississippi or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Fetal Monitoring certification
Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the healthcare facility
All required certifications must be submitted with your application

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Monitor and assess fetal and maternal vital signs, responding promptly to any changes
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and assist with labor and delivery procedures as needed
Educate patients and families on the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn health
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
