Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Dickson, TN 37055 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
• Setting: Women’s Services – LDRP Unit (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Assignment Duration: 12 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130
• Unit Details: LDRP (9 beds), OBED (1 bed), NICU (4 beds), 1 OR suite
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 for active labor, inductions, C-sections; 1:3 for couplet care; 1:1 for newborns until stable; NICU 1:3 intermediate care
• Documentation: Meditech and CPN systems
• Dress Code: Pink and/or brown scrubs per infant security policy

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience (charge nurse experience required)
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Fetal Monitoring training
• Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil), shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and OB emergencies preferred
• Strong assessment skills for mothers and newborns
• Ability to float within facility as needed

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for laboring mothers, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum support
• Transition and assess newborns, including stabilization and ongoing monitoring
• Perform and assist with procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum/forceps-assisted deliveries
• Utilize advanced equipment including CPN central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN systems
• Participate in daily patient and safety rounding
• Collaborate with a highly experienced team of Registered Nurses (RNs), many with 7–30 years of tenure
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and procedures
