Job Description – Registered Nurse (RN), Labor & Delivery

Shift: 12-Hour Nights | Thursday–Saturday | Every Other Weekend Blocked Schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Start Date: ASAP
Weekly Pay: $2,686 (including stipends)

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns.
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, progress of labor, and administer necessary medications.
Assist with labor support techniques, pain management, and delivery procedures.
Support physicians and midwives during deliveries, including emergent situations.
Provide postpartum care and education to mothers and their families.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Active Iowa RN License or Compact State License.
Current BLS, ACLS, and AWHONN certifications required.
Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D experience preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend in a blocked schedule.

Compensation & Schedule

Hours: 36 per week, 12-hour night shifts.
Schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, every other weekend.
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,686 (including stipends).
