Unit: Labor and Delivery – Unit 1
Facility: SCL Health – Platte Valley Hospital
Shift Notes: Must be experienced; no first-time travelers
Float Requirement: May float to other departments within scope
On-Call: May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts
Weekend Requirement: Not specified
Orientation: Not specified

Responsibilities

Perform independent and delegated nursing functions
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Document care per hospital and regulatory guidelines
Promote SCL Health’s mission, vision, and values
May float to other units based on business needs

Requirements

Experience: Previous RN experience preferred
Education:
- ASN required (Graduation from accredited nursing program)
- BSN preferred
Licensure & Certifications (must be in-hand):
- Active RN license in Colorado
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS, NRP, PALS as appropriate for unit
