Labor and Delivery Management

• Amnioinfusion
• Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries
• Circulate for C-section
• Forceps/Vacuum extraction assistance
• Hemorrhage and shock management
• Post-C-section recovery
• Sterile vaginal exams

Medication & Administration

• Antihypertensives
• Insulin drips
• Magnesium Sulfate therapy
• Pitocin (Oxytocin)
• Prostaglandins
• Terbutaline

Neonatal Care in Delivery Room

• APGAR scoring
• “Baby Catcher” duties
• Cord blood collection
• ID/Security banding
• Radiant warmer use / Thermoregulation

Antepartum Care & Procedures

• Assist with sterile speculum exams
• Non-Stress Tests (NST)
• Reflex checks, edema assessment, clonus evaluation
• Triage of obstetrical patients

Postpartum Care & Procedures

• Breastfeeding and lactation support
• Episiotomy and incision care
• Foley catheter insertion and management
• Fundus, lochia, and perineum assessment
• Wound care and postpartum recovery

Postpartum Care for Specific Conditions

• Cesarean Section
• Multiple Births
• Postpartum Hemorrhage
• Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension
• Vaginal Delivery

Surgical Cases / Procedures

• Dilation & Curettage (D&C)

Pain Management

• Epidural and General Anesthesia support

Fetal Monitoring

• Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
