Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State nursing license at time of application
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
• One supervisory reference from Labor & Delivery (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start date

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and assist with labor and delivery procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital and clinical policies
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
