Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Special Procedures position in Interventional Radiology with a focus on breast care imaging and IV sedation, requiring a GA or compact RN license and ICU, ER, or PACU training.

Responsibilities

• Work in a breast care imaging center within a radiology setting
• Primarily provide IV sedation to patients undergoing radiological procedures
• Day shifts from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday
• 13-week contract with 8-hour shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient population includes those undergoing breast imaging and special radiology procedures
• Must be able to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
• Requests for time off must be submitted up front
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Radiology RN experience preferred, but ICU, ER, or PACU training is required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
