ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Seymour, Indiana (47274) – Indiana healthcare jobs
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Critical care nursing
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• End Date: February 9, 2026 (extension options available)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (day shifts may be available), including weekends
• Guaranteed Hours: Choose 3 shifts/week (34.5 hours) or 4 shifts/week (46 hours)
• Bed Size: 7-bed ICU
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 2:1 or 1:1
• Dress Code: Professional nurse attire
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820 - $1950 per week

ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to MedSurg and other hospital units as needed
• Willingness to work at least one major holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and analyze clinical data in a critical care setting
• Deliver high-quality, efficient, and safe nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Evaluate effectiveness of care plans and adjust as necessary
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including Liberty Peritoneal Dialysis Cycler, Meditech, Omnicell, Philips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and NICOM
• Float to MedSurg and other departments within competency as required
• Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to hospital policies
